Bevel gears are useful when the direction of a shaft’s rotation must be changed. They are usually installed on shafts that are 90 degrees apart, but could be designed to work at additional angles as well.
One’s teeth on bevel gears could be straight, spiral or hypoid. Right bevel gear teeth actually have the same issue as straight spur gear teeth — as each tooth Cumpressori à Vite engages, it impacts the corresponding tooth all at once.
Just like with spur gears, the perfect solution is to the problem is to curve the gear teeth. These spiral teeth engage just like helical tooth: the contact begins at one end of the gear and progressively spreads across the whole tooth.
On direct and spiral bevel gears, the shafts should be perpendicular to each other, but they must also be in the same plane. If you were to prolong the two shafts at night gears, they might intersect. The hypoid equipment, however, can build relationships the axes in various planes.

This feature can be used in lots of car differentials. The band equipment of the differential and the insight pinion equipment are both hypoid. This allows the insight pinion to be mounted lower than the axis of the band gear. Figure 7 displays the input pinion engaging the band equipment of the differential. Since the driveshaft of the car is linked to the insight pinion, this also lowers the driveshaft. This implies that the driveshaft doesn’t intrude in to the passenger compartment of the car as much, making more room for individuals and cargo.
